Just finished the "Watchmen" comic by Alan Moore, and i have to say, its pretty darn good.
Looks like the world really havent changed much since 1986, it's context overlaps today's with impeccable irony...

Do a search after you finish and you'll find a trove of references made to the real world and stuff. Amazing...

Now hear this, there is a "Doomsday Clock" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doomsday_Clock)
and is currently set to 5 Minutes to Midnight (Pushed forward just this year because of the nuclear state of the world)

Might just be another coincidence, but one of my all time favourite band is naming their album with reference to the above. Might wanna smack yourself if you havent already guess the obvious.

well in anycase, it's movie is in the works. A single frame still shot of the key character is actually in the trailer of 300 (at 1:52), which once again states the obvious.
Zack Synder will be on this case.
